It’s wonderful that as the first within the VINCI group, we have taken steps to increase website accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG 2.1 is a set of global accessibility standards that help create websites that are more accessible to people with various types of disabilities.
Implementing these guidelines on all websites participating in the WebFactory project will be beneficial for many users.
Implementing WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) requires understanding the principles and guidelines outlined in the standard. These guidelines cover areas such as perception, operation, understanding, and content impact. Implementing these guidelines requires changes in website design, coding, and content.
A good way to implement WCAG 2.1 on websites participating in the WebFactory project is to use available tools and attempt to implement new ones. It’s also important to remember that some issues require manual assessment and improvement. Therefore, representing Actemium Poland, we want to implement accessibility improvement solutions for the websites of every global organization within the VINCI Group, thereby identifying with people with disabilities.
It is important that the implementation of accessibility standards is an ongoing process, not a one-time task. Websites should be regularly reviewed to ensure they are accessible to users with various types of disabilities.
