New production plant

Cegelec provides comprehensive services for the commissioning of new production plants. We undertake tasks for business partners related to design, equipment supply, LV and MV electrical services. We commit to full supervision of commissioning in the field of automation and electrical engineering.

Electrical installations

One of our tasks was the distribution of 400V power supply. Three-phase voltage is widely used in industries, institutions, and other places where there is a high demand for electrical energy. 400V power distribution includes three-phase conductors, each having a voltage of 230V relative to the neutral conductor and a phase voltage between phase conductors of 400V. Power supply is necessary for the operation of conveyors, feeders, vacuum pumps, and chillers.

I&C connections

The next step was to connect electrical systems, outfit control circuits such as sensors, actuators, controllers, user interfaces, and many others. All this is to enable control, monitoring, and regulation of the technological process.

Outfitting control circuits may include elements such as sensors, actuators, controllers, or user interfaces. Sensors are used to collect information about technological process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, level, or material quantity. Actuators, on the other hand, are used to make changes in the process, for example, by starting pumps, motors, or valves. Controllers are used to monitor and regulate the process, for example, by adjusting the conveyor speed or voltage level.

Commissioning

After completing the assembly work, the next step was to provide electrical and automatic support during the factory startup. After connecting the electrical systems and outfitting the control circuits, system tests are carried out to ensure that everything works as expected. As part of the project, it was also necessary to test and commission the control and vision systems. We supported FAT and SAT testing activities. Tests included checking if all sensors and actuators work correctly, if controllers and user interfaces are user-friendly, and if the entire system operates according to the design requirements.

Objectives

In summary, connecting electrical systems and outfitting control circuits is an important stage of the project that enables control, monitoring, and regulation of the technological process. It requires designing appropriate systems and testing them to ensure that everything works as expected.

According to plans, the new factory in Poland is expected to meet the demand for polyolefin foam. After commissioning, the plant is expected to increase the total production capacity by 20 percent, reaching 300,000 tons of foam annually.
