Implementation of a project in the Aviation Industry

Enhancing production efficiency and safety through digital solutions – read about our project for an aviation industry company.

Client company

Since 2015, Cegelec, a member of the VINCI Group, has been providing services to one of the leading companies in the aviation industry. Leveraging the expertise of the VINCI Group and the support of business partners within the Actemium network, the company offers comprehensive solutions in power installations, automation, control, robotics, production line relocations, and startups, as well as the implementation of technologies supporting the concept of Industry 4.0.
Industry 4.0 is a concept of industrial revolution based on integrating advanced technologies and IT tools with traditional industrial processes. In the project for the aviation industry, Actemium has implemented digital solutions that improved production efficiency and safety, reduced the number of production defects and downtimes, and facilitated advanced production reporting for enterprise management purposes.

Assembly work, relocations, and startups

As part of the project, the company carried out tasks related to the assembly and installation of hoisting and transport equipment on the assembly line used in the production of helicopters and airplanes. Supporting diagnostic and control processes, auxiliary devices were delivered, and the assembly of robotized stations for precise welding of components made of aluminum alloys used in the aviation and aerospace industries was completed.

Using its own execution teams, the company completed all tasks related to the transfer of equipment to the production line, their positioning, and startup. For the installed equipment, redundant LV power lines were installed, utilizing Schneider Electric’s current control elements and interference indicators. The installation is equipped with a unique surge protection system, guarding against the effects of electromagnetic pulses (EMP/HEMP).
In addition to installation and startup tasks for the production line, the company provides support related to ongoing production maintenance and optimization. Utilizing data collected by the network of industrial sensors and Actemium’s maintenance staff, actions are taken to improve the quality of equipment service, aimed at eliminating failures and unplanned downtimes, thus enhancing both worker and machine safety.

LET’S UNLEASH THE WINGS OF INNOVATION

MERGING ART AND TECHNOLOGY

Innovations

By implementing digital solutions and leveraging data from sensor networks, IoT, and maintenance work reporting systems, Actemium significantly improved production efficiency and safety while reducing production downtimes. IoT data was used for production reporting using machine learning techniques and for a SCADA visualization system developed in collaboration with Actemium Nederland and Polish partners.
The implemented digital solutions, such as IoT and maintenance work reporting systems, allowed for the collection and analysis of data from industrial sensors. This enabled the monitoring of equipment status and quick responses to emerging issues, minimizing the risk of failures and enhancing worker safety. By minimizing the number of production defects and reducing production downtimes, better efficiency was achieved.

Workplace environmental protection

In addition to introducing modern technologies, project implementation also focused on environmental protection and worker safety. Actemium and its business partners prioritize environmental protection, implementing solutions that increase energy efficiency and minimize the environmental impact of production. The company also utilizes devices and technologies for waste recycling and water consumption reduction.
As part of the project for the aviation industry client, Actemium conducted numerous activities aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of production. One example of environmentally friendly actions was optimizing workplace lighting, resulting in reduced electricity consumption. Additionally, the company conducted ground fault inspections and power tool reviews to ensure worker safety and minimize the risk of failures.
